De 1998 heeft 182Kw.
De 1999 heeft 154Kw.

Wie vertelt mij het verschil en Hoeveel kw heeft julie Van?

The most important fact to remember here is that power is what you need in order to move your car. However, if you look at the maths, you will see that in order to get power, you need torque and speed (engine revs). KW (Kilowatt) is the unit measure of power - the ability to do work (ie move a car). Power is obtained when you apply an angular force (Nm - Newton Metres) at speed (rpm). The rotational speed of a motor multiplied by its torque at that speed gives you your power. To calculate power, take your rpm divided by approximately 9.5 (ie 2*pi/60) and multiply it by torque. Power is transmitted to your wheels via your gearbox, and torque that lands up at your wheels is what determines how much force will be applied to acceleration. Since a gearbox changes the speed at which your wheels turn relative to engine speed, it either increases the torque at your wheels at a cost of speed (lower gears) or increases the speed of the wheels at a cost of torque (high gears). Every engine has differing torque characteristics, and the torque a motor produces is not constant. It changes with engine speed. Typically all motors start with very little torque, and torque improves as your engine speeds increase, and then peak at some value before dropping off. For example a diesel engine produces strong torque at low rpm, but stops producing torque fairly soon and runs out of breath. A petrol engine produces less torque, but carries on to much higher rpms. Assuming that both have equal power outputs - both will be similar performers. The diesel would seemingly have better performance at low rpms, but that advantage would be lost because you would need longer gear ratios (or be forced to change gears a 30km/h), thus losing the torque in order to get speed. The difference between number of cylinders doesn't necessarily affect performance. If you have fewer, bigger cylinders, you should land up with a similar result - although more cylinders does mean a smoother operation. To answer your question of which car will go better (and I assume the first is meant to be 230kw/350Nm) the only way to tell is to look at the shape of the torque curve and integrate the area under it. What is important to realise is that they will deliver their power differently. The first car will be able to rev much higher, and needs to do so to get the power. The second will have more power available at lower revs, but it will run out of breath a lot sooner.

Maar kversta er de botten van.

Of komt het er echt op neer dat ge uw kw eigenlijk maar kunt bepalen adhv een pkmeter zoals Vanman ooit heeft gedaan?

welnu de mijne is een 2003 met een 5.3l en een kw van 220kw

het verschil kan dus inderdaad groot zijn
